This is a 4 year built to a larger scale. Every 4 instruction still holds: structure, systems, paperwork, discipline, the roof and the accounts and the training plan. What changes is the size of the thing you are laying foundations for. A 22 year asks you to build something that will outlast your involvement in it and serve people you will never meet.
Start the enterprise, the institution, the property, the organisation, the body of work with a decade in it. Write the plan that runs to 2036 and then do the first unglamorous piece of it. Bring in people who are better than you at their part, and pay them properly.
Refuse quick wins that shrink the design, and refuse to keep the ambition secret because saying it out loud feels immodest.
Early in the year the scope becomes clear and slightly frightening. Midyear is relentless practical labour, the least visible and most decisive stretch. Late in the year the structure becomes real enough that others can finally see it.
The classic mistake is collapsing the vision down to something manageable in month three and spending the rest of the year on an ordinary project. The other is dreaming at full scale and never pouring concrete. Hold the large plan and the small daily task at once. That combination is the whole year.
